On January 12th East Street School had their winter themed assemblies.  At each of the assemblies Mr. Thomas Welch, East Street School Principal spoke about the school-wide bucket filling initiative. "I asked our students to respond to different scenarios and what they would do as bucket fillers,"stated Welch.

"I also spoke to students about helping to not spread germs by washing their hands and coughing into their elbows," added Welch, "and reminded them to wear the proper attire for the weather; jackets, hats, gloves and boots."

Each of the assemblies ended with a class presentation. Mrs. Queiros and Mrs. Quinn's 1st grade students shared a readers theater about snowmen. Ms. Golec's kindergarten students shared a presentation on hibernation and also sang songs.

Below is a brief video of the student performances that we welcome you to view.
